Innovation often presents in two forms: (1) incremental; and, (2) disruptive. Inflection points present when the fundamentals of a market begin to shift, and unique, disruptive technology intersects with an underserved or unserved market. CBCT imaging, 3D visualization, dynamic CT-guided navigation, and new irrigation techniques are four disruptive technologies that are improving the ability to diagnose, visualize, and treat patients in need of root canal therapy.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the presentation, attendees will understand the concepts and application of the following endodontic technology:

When and how dynamic guidance can be used to direct endodontic access through calcified pulp chambers and how to locate root apicies during endodontic surgery
Where the law of decreasing returns comes to play into the design and cutting of minimally invasive access cavities and how that informs our daily entry into root canal systems
How high-tech irrigation procedures allow smaller canal preps and how to fill them
